Hot Yoga Trieste

Lo studio è meraviglioso curato in ogni dettaglio, gli insegnanti preparati e sempre pronti ad un confronto costruttivo, la pratica apporta benefici sia dal punto di vista fisico che psichico: non si può desiderare di meglio.

È un tipo di yoga molto interessante. Il calore dello spazio in cui si pratica permette di allungare il corpo senza traumi. E i benefici sono visibili in brevissimo tempo! Lo studio poi è bellissimo, elegante e ben tenuto.

Lo studio è molto bello e pulitissimo. Gli istruttori sono bravi, disponibili e pure simpatici. Tutti sono gentili e a proprio agio. Non avevo mai fatto yoga e ho scoperto un’attività stimolante che fa molto bene al fisico!

Amazing people, amazing place, amazing practice! Absolutely to try!!!!

I am on my way to visit all Bikram-yoga-studios in Europe and write about them in my blog "hotyoga dot net". So far I practised in 170 studios in 20 countries. I wrote about Trieste: "After the Studios in Italy in Rom, Bologna, Milan, Padua and Pordenone, there is nowadays a small, fine studio in Trieste at the Adria coast. Clara Pizzaferri from Milan and Benjamin Conway from Greenwich opened it this spring. They spent years of travelling, teaching Bikram yoga und looking for the right spot of her new studio and how it should look like. In 40 different studios they taught in 6 different languages. They decided to stay for good in Trieste and to fulfill their dream of an own studio. „It was love at first sight“, they say about Trieste. There is a hot-yoga-community about to develop. At the Sunday evening class we were 11 yogis practising, 7 women and 4 men. We were taught by Ben in English. Before, at 3 p.m., they offered a class for newcomers. 30 showed up, several had to be turned away, as the hot room is only for 24 students. Because of this there were a few with no practice at all in our lesson. The immense interest was the consequence of an article in the local newspaper - a great pleasure for the owners! Ben is teaching with speed but without to push too hard. He is dedicated and competent. He tells the newbies of his very first lesson in the hot room, that he didn’t manage all the postures but instead had to lie down exhausted on the floor. The studio is a real pearl. The hot room is designed with one goal in mind: removing all distractions so everyone can focus. The heating is computer controlled to deliver exactly 40°C and 40% humidity, the ideal environment to practice Bikram Yoga. The air exchange system ensures that the lungs are being filled with fresh, oxygenated air straight off the Adriatic see. This will probably be the last studio to visit for my blog because all the Bikram studios in Europe I had found out about I have written about in my blog earlier (170). And it’s one of the most beautiful I have ever seen!"

hands down probably the best bikram facility i have ever been to. i started doing bikram in 2007 in new haven (great instructors, but basement facility) then moved to baltimore (lame instructors and lame facility). trieste one is so clean, well kept and bright (it is in a beautiful building and NOT in the basement!). it is also the first facility i have been to which actually keeps the right temp! in the US, for whatever the reason, no studio i have been to can actually get the temp that high! and if you love bikram, you know temp is the key ingredient for a good session. i had my first class there with valentina yesterday. she is SIMPLY AWESOME. although i do not speak a word of italian, i LOVED her class in italian. i loved the way she speaks her language, clear, crisp, with spot on tempo. i cannot speak for all, but for me, keeping a right and consistent tempo throughout the class is very important and i personally believe consistency in all aspect of a class is also very important to improving one's practice. i have had instructors who just loved cracking jokes with a couple of regulars throughout the practice session. i never liked that. here, everyone in the class was serious, and focused. i am going back for more on sunday!
