N	Nancy Kuhn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thoroughly enjoyed our four days with Ilaria in September 2016. She even arranged to ship home our purchases. Our two favorite days were Montepulciano and Montalcino. Highly recommend if you want to learn alot about (and taste) Tuscan wines. Food was also amazing. Group of 8 on each tour.
A	Angela Guthrie on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I participated in the Chianti Classico wine tour lead by Ilaria - an amazingly friendly and knowledgable guide who made our day very enjoyable. Our tour included three stops - a visit to a winery where they explained the history of Chianti Classico wines and had a tour of the cellar area which held wines as far back as 1950! Then a delicious butcher shop in Panzano for lunch run by the famous Dario Cecchini, which included an amazing spread of authentic Tuscan cuisine. And then a pig farm in Castellina with the once almost extinct Cinta Senese breed of pigs and a taste of delicious organic prosciutto, salami and olive oil. Of course having Chianti wine all along the way! And allowing for many stops to capture some pictures of the beautiful and breath taking landscape. They offer a different tour / itinerary for each day of the week so it's easy to pick something to best suit your wishes for a truly enjoyable Tuscan wine experience. Highly recommend taking a tour with these folks!

The day was packed full of delicious foods & wines along with wonderful places and warm people we met along the way. Ilaria was an excellent guide & very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this experience - and go again when the opportunity arises!

Ilaria knows so much about food and wine and took us to an amazing selection of places. I researched online for a really long time to make sure I found a tour company that would give us an experience of small, off-the-beaten path stops so we didn't feel like 1 of 100 tours coming through that day. We got that special experience here and I highly highly recommend!

I recommend any of the 4 tours highly. You get a discount when you take all the tours also. We are taking a tour in 2017 from Florence so I will post that review after the tour.

Knowledgeable, passionate, friendly and funny, she made the tour (which is excellent) even better. Each day we went to a different region - San Gimignano, Montepulciano, Chianti Classico and Montalcino. This is so much more than a wine tasting - we enjoyed the scenery, explored medieval towns, ate fabulous included lunches, visited artisan food producers and toured many different types of wineries. The food was delicious: chocolate, saffron, truffles, cheeses, olive oils, balsamic, homemade pasta, gelato, and prosciutto (which I miss already!). In addition to the tastings, we ate some of the best meals of our trip on this tour. We met wonderful people. The winemakers generously shared their stories, history, obsession with quality and of course, their wines. We learned a lot about the region and wine making. Shipped some great wines home. The tour is limited to 8 people and it was a very fun, personal experience. Siena is a great base from which to see the Tuscany region and the "wine bus" (as Ilaria called her van) was a clean, comfortable way to travel. I highly recommend taking any or all the tours that Grape Tours offers.

Our expectations were 100% exceeded. Firstly, we can't say enough about our guide Ilaria. She is a native of the region, has a solid background in the wine industry, exudes real passion for the wonderful history, scenery and products of her country, but most importantly, is simply a very nice person. Combine that with a top-notch selection of wineries, informative visits to local specialty food producers and wonderful lunchtime meals. If you want to have a great Tuscan wine tour, look no further!

The pace of each day was perfect; we never felt rushed, and we never felt like we had unwanted idle time. It's clear that Grape Tours' staff have cultivated wonderful relationships with wineries and the other locations we visited. We had the opportunity to visit wineries and have food experiences we wouldn't have been able to do on our own. At each stop, our group was welcomed like family. It's a special experience to travel abroad and spend time with locals without ever feeling like a tourist, and that's what Grape Tours delivered. The hospitality of everyone we encountered was first-rate, and our guide, Ilaria, is at the top of that list. She has a wealth of information about the wines and the region, and after 4 days together, she felt like a good friend. I would recommend Grape Tours to anyone traveling to Italy!
