Great hotel, but expect to pay for what you get. View is great, including from the private lakeside pool. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout the entire visit. We did encounter a number of small (and sometimes bizarre) issues - best example might be that there was no cold water flowing to our room for some reason. Think about that for a minute.

Fantastic experience beautiful location! Staff was wonderful and excited our expectations. We hope to come back soon.

We stayed for 4 nights for our Easter break at this hotel. Great location, and very nice breakfast.

Misleading marketing/cheating Review of our stay at Grand Hotel Imperiale, Como - 16. – 21. September 2021. We had booked a stay “The best of the lake” in deluxe room with balcony and garden-view. Our confirmation included specified prices of 5 nights, prices ranging between 490€ and 623€, as well as a total for the 5 nights. The confirmation specified a night free of charge and two 3 course dinners, one in each of the hotel's 2 restaurants. So far so good. However, we were very surprised at check out, when we were presented with a bill for 5 nights which we protested about, as we expected that at least the cheapest night would be deducted as the night free of charge. The answer to this was, that the prices quoted were “reduced prices” which were only spread over 5 nights. This did not correspond to the confirmation, where no-where was written that a free night was included in the prices shown. Our questions about what the normal prices were, could (or would) the front desk not answer. Therefore, I would call this kind of offer cheating, or on a good day misleading marketing. In my more than 35 years as a frequent traveler, I have never experienced a similar creative method of marketing “a great deal”. I know that the area by the lakes is an expensive area, but that the average price of a Deluxe room according to your calculation method, will be around 600€ per night, when adjusted for the included meals, I find completely unreasonable expensive and far from the standard we were provided with. Upon arrival at the room we found that the safe did not work and that the light in the bathroom flashed like a strobe lamp. We immediately informed the front desk, but as it was still not fixed after our dinner, we again approached the problems. Only the next day, when I had shown a video of our light-show, the errors were fixed. At the stated price, it is unacceptable that such things are not in order at check-in. Unfortunately, the overall impression was destroyed due to the above calculation method, which is why I can in no way recommend others to make use of this offer. I do not feel in any way that we have received the value for money that was written in the booking confirmation. Said in another way – I feel cheated.

Good points Nice location, friendly staff and very good brekfast. Bad points Charge to go into the pool. Refused entry into the pool and spa area because I did not have 3 vaccines. My two vaccines were in date until mid May and I attended during April. Very disappointed with this. Very expensive hotel for basic room nothing fancy.

My daughter got married in 2013 . The first Hindu wedding there it was out of the world . Great place great arrangements. If you are not very traditional. Couldn’t have asked for better .

Great experience! Super service at the reception and in all restaurants! There are several restaurants which over all great food! The breakfast is a must have! The rooms are awesome and the housekeeping is great! Good parking place.

Hotel doesn't look and feel anything as advertised. It's dated and rooms are not located on the lake side. The front desk is the rudest, with so much attitude and unwilling to communicate! That's not how you treat your customers coming for vacation! After a long journey, we were so disappointed where we arrived that decided to leave. And so glad we did!
