The owner of the shop is a real islander with a big heart and nice humor who will make you immediately feel the hospitality and warmth of Ischia. If you see someone chasing a truck to offer the tired driver a vino percoche, you are probably in the right place, sit down and enjoy it!!!

If you want to feel energized, happier than you came in, you need to have an aperi dinner there! The best place hands down for a fun Italian experience. We loved it!

Pepe is a good host, like others says is just a market but he serve some dishes, as is no price displayed you might be surprised, I was, but in the good way. Pepe on street Giuseppe is a unique place to visit in Ischia and probably in South of Italy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was happy to stumble upon this place for lunch before I got to the castle! Friendly staff, one of whom I assume is the owner. Unfortunately I find it’s becoming less easy to find the freshest ingredients in Italian restaurants but this place was delicious and delightful. €15 for a hearty amount of food plus a small fruit cup and decent sized fresh squeezed juice. The lemon ricotta was amazing and the mozzarella was super fresh; I had a plate of mixed tomatoes with flavorful herb seasoning that came with great bread, sides of couscous, mixed beans, and the cheeses. Open for lunch and aperitivo / dinner. Charming outdoor terrace to boot. I only hope that the plastic they use is recycled but I know they were probably trying to be safe for anti-COVID measures. At any rate I highly recommend especially if you are seeking something on the healthier side / with fresh vegetables.
