I think it is among the ugliest Italian fountains. Aesthetically unwatchable those frogs with open mouths. Out of context the rusty bombs that surmount it.

Very nice fountain which in my opinion should be placed in a more central position

Unfortunately I did not get to see it in the middle of its season .. Without water, therefore, when turned off, it is not really inspiring

One can argue about the aesthetics and beauty of this fountain,
but it is still a popular meeting point for groups and friends. Located directly at the Bolzano train station and hard to miss.

The original project is the work of the sculptor Ignaz Gabloner, and was placed in 1930 in front of the station of Bolzano, where until the twenties was the toll booth duty made in 1874. Features bronze frogs, which give the name to the fountain, spray long jets of water towards a large central basin (in stone and marble, like the larger tank), which is surmounted by amphorae, also of bronze, from which come out further jets. The main tank is decorated with garlands and the town's coat of arms.

Located in front of the train station, and remodeled according to the original from 1930, it is a nice sculptural object, a meeting place for locals and also the first thing that comes out to those who get to know the city. It is about creating a moment of relaxation and relaxation.
