★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are lucky enough to see the Balzano Christmas Market, at Piazza Walter von der Vogelweide Waltherplatz, the Cathedral is just across the street right behind the enormous Christmas Tree. The tile-like roof design is unlike any other, and for us, the highlight. It’s called the Maria Himmelfahrt Cathedral of Balzano (the ascension of Maria). Very cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful catholic church in the city centre of Bozen. The church has a very distinguished and noticeable multi-coloured marble roof and a very intricately carved exterior. The steeple is very pretty too. Located right at the Waltherplatz. It is really huge from the inside as well. Definitely worth a visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice cathedral in the hearth of Bolzano centre. The cathedral is located just close the main square of the city. Visited the building during Christmas period, very happy to have been there with fantastic Christmas markets vibes.
