★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Sfera, opera di Arnaldo Pomodoro, venne inaugurata il 4 maggio 1968 dal Presidente della Repubblica Giuseppe Saragat, come recita una iscrizione nel marmo della base.
La scultura era stata eseguita per il Commissariato Generale Italiano dell'Esposizione di Montreal 1967, dopo venne destinata al nostro Ministero degli Affari Esteri dall'allora Ministro Amintore Fanfani.
Peccato aver trovato la fontana sulla quale insiste l'opera non funzionante.
The Sphere, the work of Arnaldo Pomodoro, was inaugurated on May 4, 1968 by the President of the Republic Giuseppe Saragat, as an inscription in the marble of the base says.
The sculpture was made for the Italian General Commissariat of the Montreal 1967 Exposition, after which it was assigned to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs by the then Minister Amintore Fanfani.
Too bad we found the fountain on which the work insists is not working.
