★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Fontana- Serbatoio fu progettata nel 1915 dall’ architetto e paesaggista abruzzese Raffaele De Vico (1881 – 1969), vincitore di un concorso pubblico, per l’approvvigionamento idrico della zona e quindi anche del laghetto e delle fontane della villa.
Venne realizzata negli anni 20 del secolo scorso, attualmente è inattiva.
Si rimane meravigliati dall’eleganza barocca, dalle ornamentali forme mistilinee, per un manufatto che aveva solo funzioni di servizio.
Si presenta su due ordini, con una forma convessa sui quattro lati, con al primo ordine, in corrispondenza delle entrate anteriore e posteriore, il portico che si raggiunge mediante una gradinata, formato da due colonne binate con capitelli dorici moderni e due lesene, chiuso da inferriate ornamentali, e imponenti lesene ai quattro lati.
Sull’ordine superiore delle finestrelle incorniciate e tutt’intorno stemmi del Comune di Roma e simboli araldici della nobile Famiglia dei Borghese.
Completano l’edificio varie iscrizioni lungo i bordi, come ad esempio:

L’edificio è sormontato da un elegante tetto.

 The Fountain-Reservoir was designed in 1915 by the Abruzzese architect and landscape architect Raffaele De Vico (1881 - 1969), winner of a public competition, for the water supply of the area and therefore also of the lake and the fountains of the villa.
It was built in the 20s of the last century and is currently inactive.
One is amazed by the baroque elegance, by the ornamental mixtilinear shapes, for an artifact that had only service functions.
It is presented on two orders, with a convex shape on all four sides, with the first order, in correspondence with the front and rear entrances, the portico which is reached by means of a flight of steps, formed by two coupled columns with modern Doric capitals and two pilasters, closed by ornamental railings, and imposing pilasters on all four sides.
On the upper order of the framed windows and all around the coats of arms of the Municipality of Rome and heraldic symbols of the noble Borghese family.
Various inscriptions along the edges complete the building, such as:

The building is surmounted by an elegant roof.
