Proporrei di creare delle fioriere la dove l'acqua non scorre più da anni.
Poi però andrebbero date in affidamento ai pensionati di Volterra perché il comune le lascerebbe sicuramente cadere in malora.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quando nel 1938 fu completato l'acquedotto che conduce l'acqua a Volterra, il Comune volle realizzare una fontana monumentale a perenne ricordo della fatica fatta, alimentata con l'acqua in eccesso del grande deposito costruito nella zona dell'Acropoli e funzionando così come apertura di scarico del "troppo-pieno". Il progetto venne affidato all'architetto Bruno Colivicchi e la realizzazione delle due statue allo scultore Raffaello Consortini, entrambi volterrani. La fontana fu ultimata il 3 giugno 1939 ma durò poco, perchè la crescente richiesta d'acqua non lasciava un sufficiente margine d'accumulo. Restaurata e rimessa in funzione nel 1997, poco dopo subì nuovamente la stessa sorte.
When the aqueduct that leads the water to Volterra was completed in 1938, the Municipality wanted to build a monumental fountain in perpetual memory of the effort made, fed with excess water from the large deposit built in the Acropolis area and thus functioning as "overflow" discharge opening. The project was entrusted to the architect Bruno Colivicchi and the realization of the two statues to the sculptor Raffaello Consortini, both from Volterra. The fountain was completed on June 3, 1939 but did not last long, because the growing demand for water did not leave enough room for accumulation. Restored and put back into operation in 1997, shortly afterwards it suffered the same fate again.
