È stata utilizzata come fondale per la foto di una squadra di rugby, ecco forse in uno stadio avrebbe avuto più senso? E’ stata progettata e realizzata nel 2005 dal pittore e scultore messinese Ranieri Wanderlingh, per essere donata alla città dal Quotidiano “Gazzetta del Sud” in occasione del cinquantenario della sua fondazione. Lunga complessivamente 18 metri e alta 6,90 metri, è composta da due elementi affusolati lunghi 8 metri, in cemento armato, il cui significato simbolico è quello della vita che continuamente si rigenera. Scrive Luigi Ferlazzo Natoli, in proposito, “…l’elemento roccioso immette sotterraneamente acqua nell’elemento bianco contiguo, volto verso l’alto; questo la trasmette (visibilmente) in quello posto orizzontalmente, che la accoglie nella sua superficie cava e a sua volta la riversa sulla terra che la assorbe e la rimette in un ciclo naturale. E’ infatti dalla terra che quest’acqua scaturisce all’origine, attraverso l’elemento roccioso.”. La grande vasca basamentale è rivestita, all’interno, da levigati ciottoli di fiume mentre i due elementi fusiformi hanno le superfici rifinite con granigliato di marmo e granito. It was designed and built in 2005 by the Messina painter and sculptor Ranieri Wanderlingh, to be donated to the city by the newspaper "Gazzetta del Sud" on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of its foundation. 18 meters long and 6.90 meters high, it is made up of two tapered elements 8 meters long, made of reinforced concrete, whose symbolic meaning is that of life which is continually regenerating itself. Luigi Ferlazzo Natoli writes, in this regard, "... the rocky element enters water underground in the contiguous white element, facing upwards; this transmits it (visibly) to the one placed horizontally, which welcomes it in its hollow surface and in turn pours it onto the earth which absorbs it and puts it back into a natural cycle. It is in fact from the earth that this water flows at the origin, through the rocky element. " The large basement basin is covered, inside, with smooth river pebbles while the two fusiform elements have surfaces finished with marble and granite shot.

I	Ileana Barone on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lungo la passeggiata a mare, da dove è possibile vedere il porto e la Madonnina, tra alberi secolari, c'è questa fontana la Fontana Bios che è stata realizzata nel 2005 dall'artista Ranieri Wanderlingh. L'unico neo è la poca manutenzione della fontana e del luogo intorno.
