β β β β β Let's take some time to reply to some moronic comments here from english people from uk or usa complaining about the waiting. Remember that in Italy medical assistance is FREE for anybody, even for illegal immigrants. Try to be sick in uk or usa without a medical insurance: you will end up eithet paying a HUGE bill or be told to leave the hospital, even if you are dying. And when you travel to a foreign country it is your duty to speak the local tongue, not to expect everybody to speak english. Lets remember that english people are among the most ignorant people in the planet regarding a second language (look up statistics). About the hospital, it is a great facility with excellent staff. It is sometimes very busy, expecially during holiday times and it is due also to the fact that care is FREE and sometimes it gets taken advantage of. You want to avoid cues? Go to a private clinic.

β β β β β They're very very slow, I've been there after falling down on my head from the bicycle, spend 7 hours, between waiting, and changing shifts! Great, I left at the end around 8pm dizzy a bit, hungry, had my x rays, luckily I was ok after all, got to do other check ups with my private doctor and she was great!

β β β β β Worst service I have ever received anywhere! We did not speak Italian and needed to check in for emergency care during our vacation. The nurses seemed bothered by us and told us to sit down in specific area. 30 minutes later, we again we tried to get help because we realize that we will never be seen as they dont know who or why we are here. We tried to clarify again and were again told to sit down. 30 more minutes pass and we go to the window again and are more assertive. They finally realize that we are not registeted and even on the list to be seen, but they kept telling us to sit with the patients who were registered and waiting to be seen. Finally, we were on the list and sent to a different seating area...after 45 minutes we walked out and went to a different hospital recommended by our hotel and received excellent care and service! Ospedale Fatebenefratelli is NOT the place to seek care if you are from out of the country. No attempt to help us from the beginning.

β β β β β Worst Hospital in the World! A Medic answer me from an email, saying that the responsability to Not have emitted dyagnosys Since 2011 to 2017, Is nothing ti achieve. My doctor, "Marco della Ventura", who signed in front of my eyes, the prediagnosis, neglet everything, and everyresponsability to not giving answer to tac, blood analyses and radiography. Is an hospital that four years ago was in a fallimentary act. Now Is sponsorized by "Nexy Payment System" to do payment of charge of civil and penal act in the "Next Life". Close this steuctures, where people kick off patients, don't give answer, Medics cover any other medic, also in front of police officer. Is unbeliaveble that in a state of pandemia in the world, they still say that they have no obligation to do dyagnosies and to give back the clinical in archives. To Laws, you have to give dyagnosies to officer, and you have to have It in a disposable methods, that can be readed from anyone. And they have to be in disposable act in forms comprensibles and disposable from anyone else of scientists community. Now, they Say no to anyone, because they are sponsored from uninow Oxford and english university to do vaccine. They also dinied any access to the structure to go in bank to have cash withdrawt or recharge telephone SIM. Close them forever! A nice hotel can be done in that Isle!

β β β β β This place is a joke.
My mom fell down a flight of stairs in Florence and was in the hospital for over a day. She had two CT scans there in the first 10 hours. Bleeding of the brain. Before she left, the doctor told her to get another scan before flying home.
So the day before our flight home, we arrived in Rome, asked around for the best hospital and went here.
After waiting four hours, they refused to give her a scan ("you need to make an appointment") or even change the filthy bandages around her broken finger ("that's not important").
So we're going home at risk of my mom having a recurrence of the bleeding. Their advice if it happens: "call the pilot." OK...
If you have to go to this place, good luck. They did nothing for my 71-year-old mother who had a near fatal fall and bleeding of the brain.

β β β β β While in Rome I unfortunately had an issue with an incision from a surgery I had in the states prior to our trip to Italy. While I only speak Italian minimally (I'm currently taking lessons) I reached out to some friends of ours who were able to direct me to this hospital. I had read the reviews prior to our arrival and saw that many English speakers complaining that the staff didn't speak English. This complaint makes no sense to me. You are not in the US nor are you in UK so why would the staff speak English? You are in Italy they speak Italian so I wouldn't expect or assume that they would speak English. Anyways when we arrived the nurse at the triage window did not speak English. I was able to use my friend to help interpret for me. I think it is important to have connections in the countries you are visiting if you don't know the language. They took my information and directed me to the waiting room which I wanted about 45 min total. This is not bad considering waits in the ER in the US can be hours long. Now I also read complaints on here from people saying it didn't have or look like a US/UK hospital I again don't understand this complaint you are not in the US/UK so of course it won't be the same. I found the facility to be very clean and no issues or concerns there. I was seen by a very nice female doctor who quickly assessed me and determined I need to see a general surgeon she called and made me an appointment for that day, and we went and paid our 22 euros to see the surgeon let me tell you my copay in the US is much higher to see a surgeon. I think I waited about 2 hours to see the surgeon since I was an add on to his list. The staff was helpful and did their best with my broken Italian and their limited English. They were able to fix my problem and gave me a script that I was able to have filled at any farmacia. Let me tell you with no having insurance the cost of my medications were less then some of my US copays. All in all my care was great and I'm very grateful to receive the treatment that I needed to fix my problem and I was able to finish out the rest of my vacation. To those of you who give this hospital a negative review because they aren't like your countries hospitals should be ashamed of yourselves for having such closed minded thinking. Remember you are a guest in another country they are not supposed to be like your country so don't compare it like it was. I would recommend this hospital to anyone in need of care in Rome.

β β β β β We turned up unannounced to check out the maternity department and a lovely nurse who spoke English answered our questions and shown us briefly what was what. Even when she was clearly mid shift . Very kind and very friendly. After searching for a nice hospital to have our son in later this year we are now really excited. We can't wait. Lovely experience so far.
