★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il monastero di S.Stefano, costruito come luogo di villeggiatura dai Benedettini di S.Faustino su un sito più antico nel XV secolo, passò ai Gerolomini del convento delle Grazie e in seguito, nel XVII secolo, ai Gesuiti che lo ingrandirono.
Dopo le soppressioni napoleoniche, il monastero divenne proprietà di privati. Ora è proprietà comunale.
Bella la posizione, a cavallo tra la pianura e la Valle Trompia.
The monastery of S. Stefano, built as a holiday resort by the Benedictines of S. Faustino on an older site in the fifteenth century, passed to the Gerolomini of the convent of the Graces and later, in the seventeenth century, to the Jesuits who enlarged it.
After the Napoleonic suppressions, the monastery became the property of private individuals. It is now municipal property.
The location is beautiful, between the plain and the Trompia Valley.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al monastero avrei dovuto dare 2 stelle perché è abbandonato ed è un vero peccato che una splendida struttura venga lasciata al deterioramento, ma per arrivarci si percorre un sentiero che ha un panorama mozzafiato. Lo sguardo arriva su Brescia con il suo maestoso castello e con il cielo sereno si possono vedere anche gli Appennini . Per il appassionati delle camminate è una meta da non perdere
I should have given the monastery 2 stars because it is abandoned and it is a real shame that a splendid structure is left to deteriorate, but to get there you go along a path that has a breathtaking view. The look of Brescia comes with its majestic castle and with clear skies you can see the Apennines. For those who love walking it is a destination not to be missed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il monastero è potenzialmente un luogo suggestivo. Al momento è disabitato e in disuso. È vietato l'accesso perché la struttura è pericolante. È possibile vedere il giardino della struttura il giorno di Santo Stefano (26 dicembre): allora viene aperto il cancello, celebrata la messa e organizzato un rinfresco da alcuni volontari.
The monastery is potentially a suggestive place. It is currently uninhabited and disused. Access is forbidden because the structure is unsafe. It is possible to see the garden of the structure on the day of Santo Stefano (December 26): then the gate is opened, mass is celebrated and refreshments are organized by some volunteers.
