S	Simona Celani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il panorama sarebbe meraviglioso se non ti passasse la voglia di fare foto appena arrivati , abbandonato ,non curato e nemmeno valorizzato dalle foto delle recensioni sembrava un posto diverso riconoscibile solo per la struttura. Comunque gentilissime le persone del posto che a metà strada già ci avevano avvisato . The view would be wonderful if you didn't want to take pictures as soon as you arrived, abandoned, uncared for and not even enhanced by the photos of the reviews, it seemed a different place recognizable only for the structure. However very kind the locals who had already warned us halfway.
L	Ladri Di Polvere on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Per raggiungere il monastero bisogna percorrere il tratto da Paola a Cosenza (e non viceversa); c'è una piccola area dove sostare adiacente l'ingresso di una galleria (per questo non è consigliato cambiare senso di marcia provenendo da Cosenza). C'è un cancello (solitamente chiuso) ma scavalcando il guardrail si arriva all'abbazia in pochi minuti. La veduta del rudere sospeso nel tempo, con tanto di mucche che brucano al suo interno ne fanno una gouache da Grand Tour. To reach the monastery you have to travel the stretch from Paola to Cosenza (and not vice versa); there is a small area where to stop adjacent to the entrance to a tunnel (for this reason it is not recommended to change direction when coming from Cosenza). There is a gate (usually closed) but climbing over the guardrail you will reach the abbey in a few minutes. The view of the ruin suspended in time, complete with cows grazing inside make it a Grand Tour gouache.

Ben noto ai locali, il monastero era un cenobio conosciuto come di Santa Maria di Monte Persano, eretto intorno al 1000 dai monaci basiliani. Questi assegnarono il nome di San Lucido a un avamposto brutio sul Tirreno che oggi corrisponde al paese di San. Lucido, in onore del monaco benedettino, Lucido d'Aquara, che soggiornò nel monastero per molto tempo. Nonostante la sua età risulta abbastanza integro, probabilmente grazie alla qualità delle murature la quale malta in calce è ormai ritornata pietra calcarea inscalfibile. La veduta sul Tirreno è vasta, a picco e impressionante. Il luogo ha una vocazione perfetta per essere compreso in degli itinerari escursionistici. L'annessa chiesetta è ancora usata durante una feste religiosa i primi di Settembre. Stupendous monastery on Paola-Cosenza. Well known to locals, the monastery was a cenobio known as Santa Maria di Monte Persano, built around 1000 by the Basilian monks. These assigned the name of San Lucido to a brutal outpost on the Tyrrhenian that today corresponds to the town of San. Lucido, in honor of the Benedictine monk, Lucido d'Aquara, who stayed in the monastery for a long time. Despite its age it is quite intact, probably thanks to the quality of the masonry, which lime mortar has now become an irreparable limestone. The view on the Tyrrhenian is vast, steep and impressive. Si arriva a un punto in cui si può parcheggiare e fare manovra facilmente. La struttura diroccata ha un fascino antico e misterioso. C'è una chiesetta chiusache però si può intravedere dal piano di sopra. Il panorama è mozzafiato I don't know if I was particularly lucky, but the road to get there was easy enough. You arrive at a point where you can park and maneuver easily. The ruined structure has an ancient and mysterious charm. There is a closed church but it can be glimpsed from upstairs. The view is breathtaking
