La caserma dopo la chiusura è stata parzialmente rimodernata e utilizzata per il mercato del pesce di Porta Palazzo. Attualmente sono in corso lavori di ristrutturazione in tutto il complesso lato Corso Regina.

Ex caserma dei Vigili del Fuoco di Torino attiva fin dal dopoguerra o presumibilmente anche prima nella stessa sede e comunque nei primi anni 50 fino a circa inizi metà anni 80 in cui i pompieri di Torino si sono trasferiti nella moderna sede di corso Regina Margherita quasi all'innesto con la tangenziale . Dalla vecchia sede per anni questa zona è stata grande movimento di mezzi di soccorso che ancora con le ululanti sirene degli anni 50 partivano con le loro destinazioni coi mezzi di un tempo .... Oggi invece questa ex caserma ha avuto nuove destinazioni è stata in parte ammodernata , ma la struttura è rimasta pressochè identica cosi come il cortile con le ex autorimesse , non ci sono piu le ululanti sirene ma le nuove bitonali europee e nuovi modernissimi mezzi che arrivano da una sede nello stesso corso ma spostata di qualche km.
