★ ★ ★ ★ ★ di questa chiesa è rimasto solo l'altare maggiore e parte di altare di fianco, purtroppo sarà andata distrutta a seguito di qualche terremoto... ogni anno per la ricorrenza dei santi Pietro e Paolo celebrano la messa nello spiazzale antistante che ormai è diventato un parcheggio per auto

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa di San Pietro e Paolo sorse verso la metà del 1400 e fu sede della Confraternita dei Sacerdoti.
Aveva una ricca tavola raffigurante San Pietro oggi conservata al Castello Ursino a Catania.
Nel 1619 fu fatto un un'importante lavoro di restauro.
Il terremoto del 1693 la danneggiò in parte, ma pian piano fu abbandonata alle incurie del tempo.
La Chiesa fu demolita, essendo in pessime condizioni, negli anni '60 per fare spazio ad una piazza per un maldestro senso di modernizzazione, ne sopravvive soltanto un' altare raffigurante San Pietro.
Le opere d'arte, fra cui la statua lignea di San Paolo (1544), provenienti da questo luogo sacro sono esposte presso il Tesoro di Santa Maria della Stella
Ogni anno il 29 Giugno vi si celebra la S. Messa per festeggiare i Santi Pietro e Paolo.
The Church of St. Peter and Paul was built in the mid-1400s and was the seat of the Brotherhood of Priests.
He had a rich table depicting Saint Peter now preserved in the Castello Ursino in Catania.
In 1619 an important restoration work was done.
The earthquake of 1693 damaged it in part, but was gradually abandoned to the negligence of the time.
The church was demolished, being in very poor condition, in the '60s to make way for a plaza for a misguided sense of modernization, it survives only an' altar depicting St. Peter.
The works of art, including a wooden statue of St. Paul (1544), from this sacred site are on display at the Treasure of Santa Maria della Stella
Every year on June 29, Mass is celebrated to celebrate Saints Peter and Paul.
