A few weeks ago I had a truly disastrous experience with this restaurant. I made a dinner reservation using the platform that is offered on their official website. On the night of the dinner I arrived having driven with my husband from out of town, in fact we were so worried not to be late that we skipped checking into the hotel first. When I entered I was initially given a table, the restaurant was partially filled, then a few moments later a staff member came up to me asking to show proof of reservation, which I did. He came back to my table later again and told me a mistake had been made by their booking app and I should have been contacted about the reservation being cancelled due to lack of space. I let him know that I had received no cancellation call and we even went through my emails together only to find there was another confirmation sent to me, in the Italian language this time. At that point I was still confident the matter would be resolved in a courteous manner and the restaurant would find a mutually accommodating solution considering I was obviously in the late stages of pregnancy and mentioned that we drove from another town. Imagine my shock when I realized that I was actually expected to get up and simply leave without even receiving a proper apology! And so, on what was supposed to be a special birthday night, I found myself, seven months pregnant, out in the dark street in a rather sketchy neighborhood waiting for my husband (who was still desperately looking for parking space around) to come back to pick me up.. Thankfully, we were able to find a very cozy seafood restaurant in a different neighborhood that didn't require a reservation and was able to find us a table within five minutes. The night wasn't ruined after all, however, thinking back about the humiliation I was subjected to when I was literally escorted out by the staff of Dai Saletta in front of other customers still makes me shudder..

Good food, but cheap tricks lessen the experience. Pulled the age old set bread on the table without me asking for bread, or wanting bread. Did not touch the bread but paid for it anyway. Was only 2 or 3 euro, not really sure, did not get an itemized receipt even though I asked. I have been to many other restaurants in Turin where there is no charge for bread, which is why I did not say anything . Point is what I ordered, first pasta dish 11€, Second main 13€, 1/2 liter wine 5€ = 29€ I paid 36€. I think I had to pay for water and a side along with the bread. I could have made more of a fuss at the restaurant, but the 1/2 liter of wine was not enough to reduce my social anxiety to do more than groan slightly disappointingly. In summary the quality of food should be enough, not milking out an extra 4 or 5 extra euro from jack-o's like me.

My boyfriend and I think this place is the best in Milan. Variety of food, quality, quantity and price were just great. We went back two-days in a raw. The owner, Oscar speaks very little English even though he went around each table to greet his customers. Sometimes he rang the bell to make announcements or entertain customers with his jokes.

The food is good, the staff is very friendly as well. But it wasn’t an amazing food, as I was told, when the restaurant was recommended.

Food is delicious, service is lukewarm I'd say. Not sure if it's because of the language barrier. But very good in general.

Amazing authentic restaurant, family run, with a homey feeling to it! We had no reservation but the owners helped us arrange a table. They were so kind to us a d the waiters so friendly, explaning the different meals and giving suggestions.the food was so delicious, mix of appetizers, the spaghetti with chicken liver and sausage was an absolute hit, and The panna cotta was the best i have tasted! The wine just made us feel happy and I would definitely me back to this restaurant again! Thank you for such a nice service! :)
