★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il Convento di San Lorenzo al Monte fu edificato nell’antico quartiere denominato Plaium Montis nel 976, per volere del principe Gisolfo I.
Nel 1297, la figlia, monaca clarissa, di Giovanni da Procida, riuscì ad ottenere da papa Bonifacio VIII il permesso per trasferire le clarisse.
A partire dal 1810 la struttura smise di essere un convento e fu utilizzato per ospitare gli orfani della città..
 The Convent of San Lorenzo al Monte was built in the ancient district called Plaium Montis in 976, at the behest of Prince Gisolfo I.
In 1297, Giovanni da Procida's daughter, a Poor Clare nun, managed to obtain permission from Pope Boniface VIII to transfer the Poor Clares.
Starting from 1810 the structure ceased to be a convent and was used to house the orphans of the city.
