L	Luca L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monumento posto a memoria della basilica Alessandrina che venne abbattuta per far posto alle mura venete che proprio nel 1561 cominciavano a prendere forma. A mio parere un monumento di questa importanza meriterebbe sorte migliore, visto che la colonna posta in loco è praticamente annerita ed irriconoscibile e che le opere murarie che ricordano l'avvenimento sono quasi totalmente illeggibili. Uno smacco per tutta la città di Bergamo perché un'opera di questo genere merita sicuramente un rispetto ed un risalto che invece non viene affatto riconosciuto. Mi auguro che l'amministrazione comunale provveda a risolvere questa situazione quanto prima. Monument placed in memory of the Alexandrian basilica which was demolished to make way for the Venetian walls that began to take shape in 1561. In my opinion, a monument of this importance deserves a better fate, given that the column placed on site is practically blackened and unrecognizable and that the masonry works that commemorate the event are almost totally illegible. A setback for the whole city of Bergamo because a work of this kind certainly deserves a respect and a prominence that is not recognized at all. I hope that the municipal administration will resolve this situation as soon as possible.
