This is a wonderful experience. The service and good is in incredible. A simple dish like spaghetti and meatballs is to die for. Jessica had spaghetti with mixed seafood. A side order of spinach was fantastic. Gianbattista was our waiter. He was fantastic.

Probably one of the worst places to eat at in Rome. I partially blame myself for ending up in this tourist trap after having lived in Rome back in the day. The only thing good about this restaurant is the nice waiter that waited on our table. I can't say the same for the condescending host. Food...Garbage...Wine...Garbage...Price $$$$$...Please read this review so that you can AVOID THIS PLACE.

Now now, so many bad reviews so I have to give my honest opinion. We came here during lunch hour at around mid noon. I wanted to try authentic truffle pasta but the famed Osteria down the road was closed. And I was too hungry to go hunt elsewhere. I wasn't careful enough to read that the pasta was served with truffle cream (powdered) and not the truffle shavings I was hoping for. But I cannot blame the restaurant. I started with the Calamari, my wife loved it, the batter was thin, served with marinara sauce. Next we had our mains to share, truffle pasta and roast beef. The pasta was alright, sauce was okay. Though at this point I was still disappointed at not having the real thing. The beef I found it a tad to bland but my wife seemed to enjoy it. We finished off with the panna cotta which was rich and satisfying. Now, two coffees, two bottle water, Calamari, a pasta dish, a meat dish and dessert plus complimentary lime sorbet cost me €100. The waiter did inform me if we wanted to include additional tip in the bill and he also mentioned it was not necessary so we politely declined. On average I spent between €40-60 for my meals so I had never paid this much, then again I never ordered this much. It was a pleasant experience, the service was excellent, I felt bad not leaving a tip but my wife reminded me that €100 was already a lot. Haha. I wouldn't entirely call this place a tourist scam but do carry out your own due diligence when finding places to eat. And don't feel pressured to go in if you don't want to. My tip is to always look at the menu and the prices and only enter a place when you feel comfortable.

I have no idea how the negative reviews came to be but this place was PHENOMENAL!! We came back for a second night in a row it was soooo good. Daniel was a great waiter the first night and Israel the next. Get the seafood soup or seafood spaghetti. The portions are huge! Don't feel like you need to get too many courses. It is also directly across from the basilica with the "bone chapel". A church run by friers of the order of Saint Francis of Assissi. Incredible spot!

We ate here our first evening in Rome. And we had the best food here of three evenings. Yes, it was a bit more expensive, but looking back it was defenitly worth it. The servants were really nice and polite and they let us take our time to choose. Our food was really good. We didn't try the fish with the prices that weren't clear. So can't say anything about that. Also the coffee was very good. We had a very good evening here. We recommend highly!

100% a tourist trap. I was hungry and I knew it would be something tourists go to (the host was very obviously trying to lure people in, lol) but I decided to try it. Yikes. It was €24 for just meβ€”the host gave me β€œfree” bread which ended up being €3 and then they added a service charge (tipβ€”which I have not seen at other restaurants) that was not something that seemed optional. Food was… interesting. I don’t really know what happenedβ€”I ordered ravioli and it came with an egg yolk in the middle? The ravioli itself tasted like microwaveable frozen food, and there were I think 6 pieces total. Everything was really meh and the service felt weird. I’d avoidβ€”the good restaurants don’t need to coerce you into eating there.

Ugh. Unfortunately, our least liked meal during our 4 days in Rome. We stumbled upon it and were hungry. The host kept pressuring us to order seafood which was sold by the kg and kept telling us it was their specialty. But without knowing the actual price, we felt it sounded like a scam and we’re definitely glad we passed on it. We ordered pasta meals and none of us were impressed. Bland and lack luster. The bottle of Chianti wine offered was also not great. We’re not wine snobs, but every other restaurant we visited, we loved the wine. We had AMAZING meals in Rome, this was just not one of them. The outdoor seating is so cute! It looks like it had potential, unfortunately, the food is just not worth stopping for.

The quality of food not good as you expect, it’s over priced compared to restaurants in Italy. Their fish sample was 18 Euros and mostly salad and sauce? Maybe I wouldn’t have ordered salad had I known the fish sea food selection is filled with salad. Unfortunately perhaps it’s bad because they know mostly tourists go there?
