Food was ok for above average price but the service was absolutely awful! Save your money for somewhere else! Wait staff clearly don't want to be there.. all of them including the chef were sitting on the floor around the corner in the restaurant from where their 3 tables of customers were.. on a Friday night in Rome, near the Trevi fountain they should be wondering why they're restaurant is not packed. To top it all off, when we got our bill the waiter told us tip wasn't included. Absolutely laughable! AVOID!

Just don't go there. Having so many alternatives in Rome for a good Italian meal, why waste your time at Carlo's Pizza? The service was terrible. The host's recommendations seemed to be what the restaurant wanted to get rid off. Their desserts were bad, especially the creme brulee, which seemed more like an overcooked omelette. Pizza was ok, but below the standard for Italy. Too bad that being such a touristic city this place will continue being visited, but if you read this please go somewhere else.

Good food, wine and service. They have a big oven for pizza. As for the room, it's a very nice and romantic restaurant plenty of small tables where to enjoy a delicious dinner or lunch. It also counts on a big outdoor sitting area covered and isolated for winter. Toilets are not clean and a little old.

Visited this restaurant on my holiday in Rome. The restaurant had a stone baked oven which attracted us however the food was not good, I had gluten free pasta which was under cooked. When the bill came we were astonished by the price of two simple pasta dishes which were less then average

Atmosphere was a bit odd. The waiter was trying to upsell us on the wine choice. The wines were a bit overpriced. The food was OK but did not seem like a great value. When we got the bill, the waiter tried convincing us that the service fee was not included on credit card, even though €8 service fee was already included in our receipt.

Delicious pizza and amazing service. The place is beautiful, a room of floor to ceiling windows dimly lit with a view to one of Rome main avenues, with super friendly and helpful waiters and overall a very romantic and cozy atmosphere. While we were dining, a couple were there celebrating their anniversary and out of nowhere came a waiter and sang them their song with an amazing voice. It's a bit pricy, but the service, place and food was totally worth it. I highly recommend it.

THE BEST PIZZA we had during our stay. We stumbled upon the menue and were immediately approached by a waiter who showed us the oven inside of the restaurant where the pizzas were made. The restaurant itself was very neat and looked 'typical Italian' so we decided to stay, took however a table outside, so we could enjoy the sun. The pizzas were brought within a blink of an eye. One could see that fresh ingredients were used from the tomatoe base to the toppings. There were no extra ingredients. Just plain cheese and maybe oregano. Every bite was an explosion to my taste buds. It really was the first and best choice of pizza we made during our stay. But beware!!!!: The prices for the pizza seem reasonable so one would assume the drinks are too. Unfortunately this is not the case. We paid almost as much for the drinks as we did for the pizza!!! And on top of it all we paid close to 20% service fees. The prices of the drinks obviously aren't in the menue, otherwise we probably would have only ordered one round of drinks. Unfortunately our first unpleasant encounter with Roma. The last star was deducted due to the response we received from the first waiter who approached us in the beginning and showed us the oven. He basically ignored us on our way out even when we said goodbye. Probably due to the fact that no tip was given due to the hidden costs of the drinks and the surprise amount we had to pay after the meal.

Pizza had a nice thick crust. Not like the super thin stuff everywhere else in Rome. The gentleman there said he was from Egypt. He made the best pizza. Just remember...Italian pizza is not like American pizza. Ours is covered in lots of ingredients. There's maybe two or three.
