I have grown up around seafood all my life, and it is safe to say that Pesceria Barberini is most likely one of the BEST seafood restaurants I have been to. The raw and cooked fish Appetizers are out of this world, as well as the service. I repeat, where is the 6th star?

My place was with a plastic transparent wall behind so i felt comfortable. I took mussels, they were cooked really great, in a bit spicy sauce ? My other dish didn't impress me. Was a mix of octopus, anchovies and shrimps, all fried. I would say it was too dry.

We started with the raw fish platter that was to die for! So fresh and delicious. We then shared the fried fish and shrimp past that were succulent. There is really nothing bad to say about this place. We even got a complimentary glass of limoncello to end our dinner. Amazing!

Extremely friendly, fun, alert and quick. Best customer service from all the restaurants we went to. Place has a nice ambience, it is small but now during the pandemic it was easy to get a table if you're an early eater. I recommend the plate of mixed fried seafood as a starter.

Next we had a fried fish platter which was expertly prepared. The fish, shrimp, squid, and octopus was fantastic. But wait, we weren’t finished yet. We had the ‘fish soup for two’ which was simply exquisite. The service was fantastic and it was Christmas Day which had me concerned if I’d find an open restaurant. This experience was a Christmas gift. I’d recommend it to anyone in Rome for a day or a lifetime. Thank you Barberini staff.

Coming from a coast city I would say it is not the best fish I had, but it’s pretty good. Price is also ok. Not expensive as is away from the center. Nice place to have some sea food in Rome.
