★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una delle più belle chiese dell'Aquila gravemente danneggiata dal terremoto del 2009, sopratutto a causa del crollo della torre campanaria, molto particolare, a pianta ottagonale. I lavori di ristrutturazione sono quasi terminati, ma non è ancora stato affrontato il campanile che dovrà essere ricostruito partendo da un cumulo di macerie.
One of the most beautiful churches in the Eagle severely damaged by the 2009 earthquake, mainly due to the collapse of the very particular octagonal bell tower. The renovation work is almost finished, but the bell tower that will have to be rebuilt starting from a heap of rubble has not yet been addressed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I gravi danni del terremoto sono stati quasi del tutto riparati. A causa di danni da sismi precedenti la Chiesa ha subito estesi rimaneggiamenti: dell'impianto romanico originario resta un bell'abside trilobato. Il punto di forza sono gli affreschi, specie quello dell’edicola di S. Sebastiano. Ai lati del portale d'ingresso fanno la guardia due possenti leoni marmorei di epoca romana, cui le ingiurie del tempo non hanno comunque tolto l'eleganza delle forme e la potenza espressiva.
Severe damage of the earthquake have been almost completely repaired. Because of damage from previous earthquakes, the Church has undergone extensive alterations: the system remains an original Romanesque bell'abside trefoil. The highlight are the frescoes, especially the newsstand of St. Sebastian. At the sides of the entrance portal stand guard two massive marble lions of Roman times, where the ravages of time have not, however, removed the elegance of the forms and the expressive power.
