★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa parrocchiale è certamente molto antica, essendo stata una delle antiche pievi della diocesi. E' dedicata a S. Michele Arcangelo ed è posta, come tutte le pievi, in mezzo alla "cura" e non dentro il castello, presso i beni di un certo Pietro Donati e la strada detta Colonata. Essa è citata anche nelle Rationes Decimarum degli anni 1290-92, nella visita apostolica del 1574 e in tutte le visite pastorali. Non si sa da chi sia stata fondata, né se sia stata consacrata. Aveva sotto di sé da tempo immemorabile due parrocchie "filiali": S. Agata di Monte Santa Maria e S. Martino di Farneto. L'attuale parrocchia ha incorporato quella di S. Agata in Monte S. Maria con decreto del Vescovo Mos. Gaetano Michetti del 7 giugno 1986
The parish church is certainly very ancient, having been one of the ancient parishes of the diocese. It is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel and is placed, like all churches, in the middle of the "cure" and not inside the castle, near the property of a certain Pietro Donati and the street called Colonata. It is also mentioned in the Rationes Decimarum of the years 1290-92, in the apostolic visit of 1574 and in all the pastoral visits. It is not known by whom it was founded, nor whether it was consecrated. From time immemorial he had two parishes "branches": S. Agata di Monte Santa Maria and S. Martino di Farneto. The present parish has incorporated that of S. Agata in Monte S. Maria with decree of the Bishop Mos. Gaetano Michetti of 7 June 1986
