★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ci sono arrivata scendendo dal Sacro Monte, bella chiesa e ben tenuta. Dal suo portico lo sguardo rotola giù fino alla piazzetta e al lago attraverso una stradina di ciottoli delimitata da case affrescate e archi di pietra.
I got there coming down from the Sacro Monte, a beautiful and well-kept church. From its porch the gaze rolls down to the square and the lake through a cobbled street bordered by frescoed houses and stone arches.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Op zoek naar een geel kerkje. Het dorpje Orta San Guilio is een schilderachtig dorpje aan jet Lago di Otha. De auto konden we beneden goed parkeren en na een kleine wandeling kwamen we bij dit prachtige kerkje. Vanaf de deur van de kerk kijk je helemaal beneden naar het Lago.
Looking for a yellow church. The village of Orta San Guilio is a picturesque village on the Lago di Otha. We could park the car well below and after a short walk we arrived at this beautiful church. From the door of the church you look all the way down to the Lago.

The walls are very descriptive of the bible; also the ceiling is astonishing. The organ is simplistic though but this part of the ceiling is quite nice , even compared to the rest of it.
It is highly recommended to pay a visit to this church in particular. If there is one you should visit, that is the one.
Also it offers a nice point of view descending to the village and the lake.
