★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Struttura moderna in un contesto adiacente più antico peccato che questa cittadina non abbia potuto o saputo conservare il carattere di Borgo anche nella sua Chiesa. Ma... ormai è così “Les Affaire” trascinano il Mondo in una spirale dal quale solo un Black-out energetico di qualche anno può liberarci. Aggiungo la foto degli orari delle Sante Messe.
Modern structure in an adjacent context more ancient sin that this town has not been able or knew to preserve the character of Borgo also in his Church. But ... by now it is so "Les Affaire" drag the world into a spiral from which only a few years' energy black-out can free us. Add the photo of the times of the Holy Masses.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nella moderna Piazza Europa, si trova questa moderna Chiesa, sviluppata per linee orizzontali, consacrata il agosto 1964 e intitolata a S. Maria Assunta in Cielo ed è ad oggi anche l’unica chiesa attiva a Sperlonga.
L’esterno si presenta con una forma avveniristica, è ben visibile sulla sinistra un campanile a vela con le tre campane poste verticalmente.
L’interno si presenta ampio (nelle tre dimensioni di altezza, lunghezza e larghezza) e ben illuminato.
Nella chiesa sono presenti le statue lignee dei due Santi Patroni, le cui feste con la processione per le principali strade della città, sono svolte in giorni diversi, la prima domenica di settembre per San. Leone Magno (Patrono Principale) e un giorno vicino per San Rocco (Compatrono).
Molto bello il grande mosaico policromo con molti tasselli dorati, sviluppato in verticale, presente nell'altare maggiore che raffigura un Cristo benedicente.
In the modern Piazza Europa, there is this modern church, developed in horizontal lines, consecrated in August 1964 and dedicated to S. Maria Assunta in Cielo and today it is also the only active church in Sperlonga.
The exterior has a futuristic shape, a bell gable with three bells placed vertically is clearly visible on the left.
The interior is large (in the three dimensions of height, length and width) and well lit.
In the church there are the wooden statues of the two Patron Saints, whose feasts with the procession through the main streets of the city, are held on different days, the first Sunday of September for San. Leo the Great (Principal Patron) and a nearby day for San Rocco (Co-Patron).
Very beautiful is the large polychrome mosaic with many golden pieces, developed vertically, present in the main altar which depicts a blessing Christ.
