★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il museo consta di una stanza dove sono raccolti diversi oggetti liturgici e reliquie, oltre che l'importante tavola trecentesca di Santa Giulia, nella sala magistrale sono esposti alcuni pannelli e il bozzetto dei perduti affreschi nella cupola del Duomo di Francesco Maria Terreni. Inoltre nelle visita si può accedere all'oratorio di San Ranieri. Consigliato chiamare, aperto la mattina dei giorni feriali.
The museum consists of a room where various liturgical objects and relics are collected, as well as the important fourteenth-century table of Santa Giulia, some panels and the sketch of the lost frescoes in the dome of the Cathedral by Francesco Maria Terreni are exhibited in the master hall. La costruzione è del XVII secolo.
L'esterno è tardorinascimentale.
L'interno è ad unica navata, a pianta longitudinale, e l'ingresso è preceduto da un nartece.
Le caratteristiche di pregio della chiesa sono:
- reliquiario dedicato alla santa posto sull'altare, portato in processione
- immagine della Madonna di Montenero
- soffitto a cassettoni ornati da stucchi e forme geometriche
Ingresso: gratuito.
Do due stelline in meno perché il museo e l'oratorio di San Ranieri erano chiusi. '
The church of Santa Giulia is located in the historic center of Livorno.
The construction dates back to the 17th century.
The exterior is from the late Renaissance.
The interior has a single nave, with a longitudinal plan, and the entrance is preceded by a narthex.
The valuable features of the church are:
- reliquary dedicated to the saint placed on the altar, carried in procession
- image of the Madonna of Montenero
- coffered ceiling decorated with stucco and geometric shapes
Free entry.
I give two stars less because the museum and the oratory of San Ranieri were closed. '
