★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pala d'altare con Nativita' del Solimene, altorilievo della deposizione di Gesu' del Sammartino, Cristo in Croce in legno con un chiodo ad ogni piede antecedente al 1400, statua della Madonna della Difesa con Gesu' Bambino, in legno, rappresentata in piedi, prima opera di Amalia Dupre' (artista Toscana) a Casacalenda, la seconda e' nel Santuario, rappresentata seduta, dopo averla sognata. Cripta inesplorata.
Altarpiece with Nativity of Solimene, high relief of the deposition of Jesus of Sammartino, Christ in wooden Cross with a nail at each foot prior to 1400, wooden statue of the Madonna della Difesa with Jesus Child, represented standing , first work by Amalia Dupre '(Tuscan artist) in Casacalenda, the second is in the Sanctuary, represented sitting, after having dreamed it. Dispone di tre navate .In alto si evidenzia un bel soffitto in legno massello realizzato da un bravo artigiano del posto , al centro si evidenzia un telo del pittore P. Gamba raffigurante " L' Assunta ".
Dietro l'altare principale nell'abside vi è un'altro telo sempre di P. Gamba il più grande
rappresentante la " Natività ".
Sulla parete laterale a destra in un altare in basso vi è una scultura a rilievo del "Cristo
Velato ".
It is the most important church in the community.
It has three naves. Above there is a beautiful solid wood ceiling made by a skilled local craftsman, in the center there is a cloth by the painter P. Gamba depicting "The Assumption".
Behind the main altar in the apse there is another cloth also by P. Gamba the largest
representing the "Nativity".
On the right side wall in a lower altar there is a relief sculpture of "Christ
Veiled ".
