★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Siamo a Tortoreto Borgo mediovale con vista mozzafiato su mar adriatico Tortoreto LidoMaiella e Gran Sasso. Peccato che a luglio la chiesa era chiusa, come altre di Tortoreto. Interessante vicino alla chiesa esiste una piccola chiesa Annunciazione interno con affreschi bellissimi.sulla sua porta Angelo del Annunciazione
We are in Tortoreto, a medieval village with a breathtaking view of the Adriatic Sea. Tortoreto Lido Maiella and Gran Sasso. Too bad that in July the church was closed, like others in Tortoreto. Interesting near the church there is a small internal Annunciation church with beautiful frescoes. On its door Angelo del Annunciazione

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa di Sant'Agostino fu ricostruita quasi interamente nel nel 1613 da padre Agostino Tavani, priore e fondatore del convento.
Il portale bronzeo della chiesa del 1988 è opera dello scultore Romano Buffagni. Nella facciata è scolpito l'anno domini 1640. Fino all'anno 388 il convento era intitolato a S. Antonio Abate.
La chiesa è ad una sola navata con altari in stile barocco con decorazioni in stucco. La pala dell'altare raffigurante il battesimo di Sant'Agostino dipinta da Mattia Preti nel 1640 si trova al Museo Nazionale de L'Aquila dove fu portata per il restauro. Nella chiesa è presente un organo a 300 canne del 1850.
The church of Sant'Agostino was almost entirely rebuilt in 1613 by Father Agostino Tavani, prior and founder of the convent.
The bronze portal of the church from 1988 is the work of the Roman sculptor Buffagni. The facade is carved in the year 1640. Until the year 388 the convent was dedicated to S. Antonio Abate.
The church has a single nave with baroque altars with stucco decorations. The altarpiece depicting the baptism of St. Augustine painted by Mattia Preti in 1640 is located in the National Museum of L'Aquila where it was brought for restoration. In the church there is a 300-pipe organ from 1850.
