m	miriam pann on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esternamente il luogo è molto suggestivo e caratteristico,con la piazza adiacente sormontata dalla grande cupola del Duomo di San Flaviano diventato simbolo di Giulianova alta;ma all'interno l'ambiente diventa freddo e anonimo in quanto la volta della cupola e le pareti sono state intonacate coprendo i precedenti affreschi. Il risultato è di un luogo piuttosto austero. Externally the place is very suggestive and characteristic, with the adjacent square surmounted by the large dome of the Cathedral of San Flaviano which has become the symbol of Giulianova Alta; but inside the environment becomes cold and anonymous as the vault of the dome and the walls have been plastered covering the previous frescoes. The result is of a rather austere place.

It is the Cathedral of excellence of Giulianova in a romantic place and with a stupendous square where you have everything within reach, a square where music by Edoardo Bennato, Anna Oxa, the rich and the poor, toto Cutugno and others played and close a few steps there is the belvedere where you can admire the port and the entire Julian coast. Do not miss this experience to get there on foot with stairs in the same style and also by bike.

Al suo interno una pregevole via crucis di Aligi Sassu, litografie di grandi dimensioni che impreziosiscono le pareti. Il Duomo dedicato a San Flaviano sorge in Giulianova Alta e con la sua immensa cupola si può intravedere dal porto di Giulianova Lido. L'interno è spoglio, di un colore bianco, con una bella altare allestita davanti al "presbiterio" (se è possibile chiamarlo così, visto che la chiesa è a pianta centrale). E' un bellissimo posto, da visitare (soprattutto la sera con le luminarie in piazza!). Qui sotto metto una foto delle luminarie serali estive. Beautiful place nestled in the Abruzzo Apennines. The Cathedral dedicated to San Flaviano rises in Giulianova Alta and with its immense dome can be glimpsed from the port of Giulianova Lido. The interior is bare, of a white color, with a beautiful altar set up in front of the "presbytery" (if it is possible to call it that, since the church has a central plan). It is a beautiful place to visit (especially in the evening with the lights in the square!). Below I put a photo of the summer evening lights.
