Si racconta che le campane suonassero di continuo...La chiesa fu internamente distrutta e svuotata di tutto e consacrata alla Madonna di costantinopoli perché Lucifero non potesse più riaverla.. A	Angelo Calgani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La Chiesa della Madonna di Costantinopoli è stata costruita nel 1684 dalla famiglia di Jacopo Francesco Arborio Gattinara, marchese di San Martino. Il progetto di questa Chiesa è nato per donare ai contadini del luogo un posto dove pregare senza allontanarsi troppo dal luogo di lavoro. La Chiesa inizialmente era un luogo di culto, in cui operava un cappellano che si prendeva cura della struttura e delle funzioni. Fino alla fine del ‘700 la Chiesa era in uso, ed accoglieva nello spazio esterno anche la fiera per i festeggiamenti del patrono San Vito. Verso la fine dell’800, però, la Chiesa è stata sconsacrata poiché inutilizzata, anche le sue campane sono state portate via per essere affisse nel campanile di un’altra parrocchia. Col tempo la struttura è andata via via degradandosi tanto da doverla chiudere definitivamente nel 1878. Da qualche anno la Chiesa è stata restaurata e riaperta al pubblico per poterla ammirare. Ma questo luogo resta sempre e comunque avvolto nel mistero. The Church of the Madonna di Costantinopoli was built in 1684 by the family of Jacopo Francesco Arborio Gattinara, Marquis of San Martino. The project of this Church was born to give the local farmers a place to pray without straying too far from the place of work. The Church was initially a place of worship, where a chaplain worked who took care of the structure and functions. Until the end of the 1700s the church was in use, and also hosted the fair for the celebrations of the patron saint San Vito in the external space. Towards the end of the 19th century, however, the Church was deconsecrated as it was unused, even its bells were taken away to be posted in the bell tower of another parish. Over time the structure has gradually deteriorated so much that it had to be closed permanently in 1878. For some years the church has been restored and reopened to the public to be able to admire it. But this place always remains shrouded in mystery.

La leggenda narra che fu edificata dal diavolo per un patto con il marchese dell'epoca. Strange and small octagonal church, now deconsecrated. Inoltre si dice che la campana mancante del campanile annesso, sempre per un:altra anrtica leggenda, è stata smontata e trasportata sul fondale del Canale del Rio e a volte la si sente ritoccare quando ci stanno delle correnti o con il mare mosso...Attualmente sede di eventi socio-culturali locali nella zona antistante e che in tempi recenti grazie ad interventi di ristrutturazione conservativa la si può ammirare nello stato in cui si presenta.
