★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Costruzione romanica edificata all’incirca nel XI secolo sui resti di una antica chiesa citata in un documento dell’893, ipotesi convalidata dalla presenza di elementi architettonici anteriori al Mille.
L’aspetto attuale deriva da lavori di restauro avvenuti nella prima metà del 1900 e nel 2017.
Dalla navata di destra si può accedere alla cripta, posta sotto l’abside maggiore e metà della navata centrale.
Nella navata di sinistra è conservata una tomba “a cappuccina” ritrovata a Viguzzolo.
Sopra all’altare è possibile ammirare un crocifisso ligneo di scuola piemontese-lombarda risalente all’inizio del XVII secolo, realizzato in legno di fico, a grandezza umana.
Particolare interesse è costituito dal capo che, ruotando su di un perno in legno, compie un movimento dall’alto al basso a simulare un cenno di assenso.
Romanesque building built around the 11th century on the remains of an ancient church mentioned in a document from 893, a hypothesis validated by the presence of architectural elements dating back to the year one thousand.
The current appearance derives from restoration work that took place in the first half of the 1900s and in 2017.
From the right aisle you can access the crypt, located under the main apse and half of the central nave.
In the left aisle is a tomb "a cappuccina" found in Viguzzolo.
Above the altar it is possible to admire a wooden Piedmontese-Lombard school crucifix dating back to the beginning of the seventeenth century, made of fig wood, human-sized.
Particular interest is represented by the head that, rotating on a wooden pin, makes a movement from the top to the bottom to simulate a nod.

Ci hanno accolto due guide locali gentilissime e molto preparate che ci hanno spiegato la storia della Pieve e ci hanno accompagnato all'interno della cripta. Un luogo di spirito e di fascino millenario. Complimenti. I posti che ci rendono orgogliosi della nostra Italianita'.
By chance we passed by this place and we stopped to see this beautiful Romanesque Pieve. We were welcomed by two very kind and very prepared local guides who explained the history of the Pieve and accompanied us inside the crypt. A place of millennial spirit and charm. Well done. The places that make us proud of our Italianness.
