Mostly some general knowledge about chocolate that can be found elsewhere, some chocolate sculptures and not much more

How good to see this impressive scenery, we came to the town where there was a funeral and dark clouds, hail and rain. The sun was shining through few hatches in the sky, it was AWESOME... Chocolate is nice, the people and the city are relaxed and friendly. Tourist train ride recommended at good weather only...

It was great, but I expected to see more about the way chocolate is made instead of chocolate sculptures and paintings

There are only four rooms but the quality of pieces and uniqueness of their construction is worth visiting. There are many types of chocolate available for purchase as well but beware the tickets are cash only. Recommend if you are in the city already.

Eminently goofy, and utterly charming. This is one *tiny* museum - then again, it's only a couple of Euro to get in, so nothing much to complain about. It's about the history of Chocolate in Modica (where they make something more akin to the ancient aztec stuff). Not much beyond what you could get off the InterWebs, but then again, you're not going to get the chocolate sculptures, and the the 3-D map of sicily off the InterWebs either ? Love this place!....

I think this museum is far from what it could be. I would have liked to find out more about the history of how local people started to manufacture chocolate. The exhibition is more about the dozen of chocolate sculptures and let's be honest, it's a kitsch, even if they are done in a very professional level. There is a long, very old video about how modican people do the production today. For me this was the highlight of the museum. There are several old manuscripts on this topic, but without any serious art historian interpretation. After buying a ticket, you get a piece of chocolate, which is nice and more or less everything is translated in English. I don't want to seem like a hater, the reason I have given 2 stars instead of one.

In the museum interesting, with enough information about the history of chocolate production in this area. Quite a small space, difficult to access, but worth the visit.
