★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La chiesa è costruita su progetto dell'architetto Giuseppe Zander tra il 1950 ed il 1952. È la sede della parrocchia omonima, istituita il 7 ottobre 1952 con decreto del cardinale vicario Clemente Micara "Tricesimo iam vertente".
Inoltre è anche sede dal 1965 del titolo cardinalizio “San Leone I”.
La chiesa è stata visitata da Giovanni Paolo II il 17 dicembre 1989. Papa Francesco ha celebrato la santa messa il 23 giugno 2019.
The church was built on a project by the architect Giuseppe Zander between 1950 and 1952. It is the seat of the parish of the same name, established on 7 October 1952 by decree of the cardinal vicar Clemente Micara "Tricesimo iam vertente".
It is also the seat since 1965 of the cardinal title "San Leone I".
The church was visited by John Paul II on December 17, 1989. Pope Francis celebrated Holy Mass on June 23, 2019.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chiesa molto accogliente e affrescata sapientemente. Il parroco giovane e coinvolgente ed un coro degno di un grande teatro con una cantante solista dalla voce celestiale. Sono stata in questa Chiesa per la celebrazione della Santa Cresima della figlia di cari amici e ne sono rimasta piacevolmente colpita.
Very welcoming and expertly frescoed church. The young and engaging parish priest and a choir worthy of a great theater with a solo singer with a celestial voice. I was in this Church for the celebration of the Holy Confirmation of the daughter of dear friends and I was pleasantly surprised.
