A	Alberto Spinetti on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È la mitica chiesa location (all'esterno) del film "Roma città aperta", probabilmente uno dei film più importanti del cinema italiano! C'è da dire però che le scene all'interno sono state riprese in un altra Chiesa e non in questa! In ogni caso, vale comunque la pena visitare questa Chiesa all'interno poiché, pur essendo novecentesca, all'interno è decorata con decorazioni ispirate alle chiese paleocristiane! Un tripudio di simboli che vi emozionerà! It is the mythical church location (outside) of the movie "Rome open city", probably one of the most important films of Italian cinema! It must be said, however, that the scenes inside have been filmed in another Church and not in this one! In any case, it is still worth visiting this church inside as, despite being twentieth century, inside it is decorated with decorations inspired by early Christian churches! A riot of symbols that will excite you!

Don Stefano was much better, this pastor is very far from how he celebrated don stefano.questo is a sad one. c that reason, it is to send away a parish priest who was perfect? In origine creata per le fabbriche di zona ora un ambiente davvero magico all'interno di un quartiere artistico a ridosso della casilina ma che al suo interno ha una comunità molto positiva, costruttiva e con una visione di comunità davvero moderna ed accogliente! The historic church in the neighborhood. Originally created for the local factories now a truly magical environment within an artistic neighborhood close to the casilina but which inside has a very positive, constructive community and with a truly modern and welcoming community vision!

C	Carlo Carlevale on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La parrocchia fu voluta da Pio X a ricordo del 1600° anniversario dell’editto di Milano del 313, quando gli imperatori romani Costantino I e Licinio riconobbero la religione cristiana come religione lecita e legittima all’interno dell’impero; e fu dedicata alla madre di Costantino, l’imperatrice Elena. L’erezione ufficiale della parrocchia avvenne il 19 marzo 1914 con la costituzione apostolica “Quo iam pridem”. Sant’Elena ricevette i titoli ed i redditi della soppressa parrocchia dei Santi Quirico e Giulitta al Foro di Augusto. Dal 1985 ha assunto il titolo cardinalizio di “Sant’Elena fuori Porta Prenestina”. La chiesa fu aperta al culto il 2 aprile 1914 e consacrata solennemente il 17 settembre 1916. La parrocchia è stata retta quasi fin dalla sua fondazione dall’ordine religioso degli Oblati di Maria Vergine; dal 2003 è tornata al clero diocesano di Roma. Nel 1945 la parrocchia ospitò le riprese di un capolavoro assoluto della storia del cinema mondiale, “Roma città aperta” di Roberto Rossellini. The parish was commissioned by Pius X in memory of the 1600th anniversary of the edict of Milan in 313, when the Roman emperors Constantine I and Licinius recognized the Christian religion as a licit and legitimate religion within the empire; and was dedicated to Constantine's mother, the Empress Helen. The official erection of the parish took place on March 19, 1914 with the apostolic constitution "Quo iam pridem". Sant’Elena received the titles and income from the suppressed parish of Saints Quirico and Giulitta at the Forum of Augustus. Since 1985 he has assumed the cardinal title of "Sant’Elena fuori Porta Prenestina". The church was opened for worship on April 2, 1914 and solemnly consecrated on September 17, 1916. The parish has been governed almost since its foundation by the religious order of the Oblates of the Virgin Mary; since 2003 it has returned to the diocesan clergy of Rome. In 1945 the parish hosted the filming of an absolute masterpiece in the history of world cinema, “Rome, open city” by Roberto Rossellini.

Successivamente, negli anni '30 la sorella di mia nonna presto' il suo operato come Dama Vincenziana presso questa chiesa. All'interno, bellissime la Statua del Sacro Cuore e quella di Sant'Elena. The first wedding celebrated in this parish was that of my grandparents! Later, in the 1930s my grandmother's sister soon worked as a Vincentian Lady at this church. Inside, the Statue of the Sacred Heart and that of Sant'Elena are beautiful.
V	Vasili Timonen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Weekdays 8:30, 18:00 (19:00 in summer); Sundays and Solemnities 8:30, 10:30, 18:00 (19:00 in summer). "Summer" is from 1 July to 15 September. The church is by Giuseppe Palombi in a neo-Renaissance style, and was completed in 1914. It is one of the last sumptuous early 20th century churches in Rome, before the money became tight and "simplicity" took over. Worth a visit.
