★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'edificio attuale risulta dall'unione di due chiese contigue: la prima, dedicata a S. Giovanni Battista, eretta nel 1508, e la seconda "S. Maria la Neve" nel 1523. Si ignora la data dell'unificazione. L'edificio, danneggiato dal sisma del 1980, è stato oggetto di lavori ristrutturazione e restauro, insieme al campanile ricostruito dalle fondamenta, completati nel 1992.
 The current building results from the union of two contiguous churches: the first, dedicated to S. Giovanni Battista, erected in 1508, and the second "S. Maria la Neve" in 1523. The date of unification is ignored. The building, damaged by the earthquake of 1980, has undergone renovation and restoration works, together with the bell tower rebuilt from the foundations, completed in 1992.
