Dall'interno della chiesa sono giunta alla parte superiore dell'edificio, una volta accessibili solo alle monache di clausura. Partendo dalla cantoria monumentale sono arrivata ad una enorme terrazzo e poi alla cupola loggiata. Panorama mozzafiato, Etna annebbiato compreso. Il tutto con una guida "ad personam",ilcompetente Michele studente alla facoltà dei Beni Culturali, al quale auguro che i suoi sogni si realizzino. Octagonal plan and Greek cross shape. La chiesa, a differenza delle classiche chiese suddivise in navate, é a pianta circolare. Vi è ancora la sala dove si radunavano le suore di clausura per cantare durante le messe. È possibile salire sulla cupola per ammirare un fantastico panorama dal quale si vede Catania dall'alto: in base a dove si rivolge lo sguardo si può ammirare la cattedrale con dietro il mare, il Monastero dei Benedettini o sua maestà Etna. Prezzo d'ingresso 5€ e li vale tutti. Spero venga sempre tenuta al meglio e vengano iniziate altre promozioni del genere. This beautiful church from the path LE VIE DEI TESORI.
