★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simplesmente maravilhosa. Tive sorte porque era horário de missa. As igrejas na Sicília possuem um complicado horário para visita. Muitas fecham ao meio dia e só reabrem as 18:00 no horário da missa. As obras de arte, as colunas, o teto. Tudo é magnífico.
 Simply wonderful. I was lucky because it was Mass time. The churches in Sicily have a complicated schedule to visit. Many close at noon and only reopen at 6 pm at Mass time. The works of art, the columns, the ceiling. Everything is magnificent.

Uma igreja bem simplória por fora, a arquitectura é que chama a atenção, enorme.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Singolare chiesa affacciata su via etnea. Già dal portone d'ingresso ci si accorge di essere di fronte a una chiesa che si distingue dai canoni a cui siamo abituati. Infatti ci accoglie una particolare scalinata interna che si allarga come per avvolgerci in un caloroso abbraccio. Giunti nella navata centrale possiamo ammirare dipinti e opere d'arte di pregio. Peccato che, almeno quanto l'ho visitata io, la luminosità era piuttosto scarsa dandole una sensazione di trascuratezza. Le dimensioni sono un po' modeste ma l'intimità e il raccoglimento sono accentuate dal clima che si percepisce.
Singular church overlooking via etnea. Already from the entrance door you realize that you are in front of a church that stands out from the canons we are used to. In fact, a particular internal staircase welcomes us that widens as if to wrap us in a warm embrace. Once in the central nave we can admire valuable paintings and works of art. Too bad that, at least when I visited it, the brightness was rather low, giving it a feeling of neglect. The dimensions are a bit modest but the intimacy and concentration are accentuated by the atmosphere that is perceived.
