Ma la chiesa è stata ricostruita nel 1786. L'altare venne dipinto da Ercole Ramazzani nel XVI sec.
La chiesa dopo il terremoto del 1997 fu lasciata in gravi condizioni ma ora è stata finalmente restaurata. Vicina si trova la casa dello storico Giuseppe Crocioni.
The place has been known since the 13th century. dependent on the Abbey of San Michele arcangelo that is above and on the Lombard diocese of Nocera Umbra.
But the church was rebuilt in 1786. The altar was painted by Ercole Ramazzani in the sixteenth century.
The church was left in serious condition after the 1997 earthquake but has now been finally restored. Nearby is the house of the historian Giuseppe Crocioni.
