La parrocchia di Quingentole è situata sulla strada che collega Mantova a Ostiglia passando per San Benedetto Po. Dista dal capoluogo 35 km. Confina con Nuvolato, Pieve di Coriano, Schivenoglia e il Po.
La sua origine storica pare risalga a molto prima del Mille, ma non vi sono documenti certi come datazione, i primi datati risalgono al 1086. La prima chiesa parrocchiale risale al 1400, abbattuta nel 1752 viene ricostruita nel 1751-54 nel territorio dei Di Bagno, successivamente restaurata e ampliata nel 1776 e nel 1886. E' dedicata a San Lorenzo, diacono e martire. Sul territorio esistono oratori dedicati alla Beata Vergine di Loreto e alla Madonna dell'Argine. Per molti anni fu luogo di villeggiatura estiva per il vescovo di Mantova.
Beautiful church to visit after the last restoration.
The parish of Quingentole is located on the road that connects Mantua to Ostiglia via San Benedetto Po. It is 35 km from the capital. It borders with Nuvolato, Pieve di Coriano, Schivenoglia and the Po.
Its historical origin seems to date back to long before the year 1000, but there are no certain documents as dating, the first dated back to 1086. The first parish church dates back to 1400, demolished in 1752 and rebuilt in 1751-54 in the Di Bagno territory , subsequently restored and enlarged in 1776 and 1886. It is dedicated to San Lorenzo, deacon and martyr. On the territory there are oratories dedicated to the Beata Vergine di Loreto and the Madonna dell'Argine. For many years it was a summer resort for the bishop of Mantua.
