Essa sorge di fronte alla Basilica di Santa Pudenziana ed è annessa al convitto e alla casa generalizia delle Suore Oblate del Bambino Gesù. La chiesa fu edificata sotto il pontificato di Clemente XII, inizialmente su progetto di Alessandro Specchi (1713), cui subentrarono ben presto Carlo Buratti e soprattutto Ferdinando Fuga, che portò a termine la chiesa nel 1736; essa fu solennemente consacrata il 9 settembre 1736, come ricorda un'epigrafe all'interno. Il convitto invece, che occupa un intero isolato, fu portato a termine nell'Ottocento da Andrea Busiri Vici.
The church of Gesù Bambino all'Esquilino is a Catholic place of worship in Rome, in the Monti district, in via Urbana.
It stands in front of the Basilica of Santa Pudenziana and is annexed to the boarding school and the general house of the Oblate Sisters of the Child Jesus. The church was built under the pontificate of Clement XII, initially based on a project by Alessandro Specchi (1713), who soon took over Carlo Buratti and above all Ferdinando Fuga, who completed the church in 1736; it was solemnly consecrated on 9 September 1736, as an epigraph inside recalls. The boarding school, on the other hand, which occupies an entire block, was completed in the nineteenth century by Andrea Busiri Vici.
