 On the menu there is the bar, good coffee with a beautiful ancient aqueduct. Very attractive throwback.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Al piano meno 1 del palazzo sono stati ritrovati i resti dell'acquedotto Vergine, una delle grandi opere di ingegneria di epoca romana, fu realizzato tra il 25 e il 19 a.c. da Agrippa , genero e uomo di fiducia dell'Imperatore Augusto. Il condotto aveva una lunghezza di circa 20 km dall'VIII miglio della via Collatina fino alla zona del Pantheon, Campo Marzio dove era destinato ad alimentare le prime terme pubbliche di Roma, fatte costruire dallo stesso Agrippa. Per la maggior parte del percorso l'acquedotto era sotterraneo ed in prossimità dell'attuale Rinascente usciva dalla collina e procedeva su arcate. Le due acque alimentano ancora alcune fontane pubbliche di Roma tra cui fontana di Trevi
On the first floor of the building, the remains of the Vergine aqueduct, one of the great engineering works of the Roman era, were found between 25 and 19 a.c. from Agrippa, son-in-law and man of trust of the Emperor Augustus. The conduit had a length of about 20 km from the VIII mile of the Via Collatina to the Pantheon area, Campo Marzio where it was destined to feed the first public baths of Rome, built by Agrippa himself. For most of the route the aqueduct was underground and near the current Rinascente it came out of the hill and proceeded on arches. The two waters still feed some public fountains of Rome including Trevi Fountain
