★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Reserve a lot of time before your departure from this station. People, queues and very slow italian ticket vending machines (not mentioning souvenir sellers). However the station itself is very impressive and worth seeing. Great old building.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's spacious and beautiful, but we had trouble finding a tourist help/information centre (didn't find one, don't know if it's even there). There are also so many scammers who try to sell you stuff or sell tickets for a bus ride to Bergamo (make sure you look for the official buses and buy the ticket from the driver or uniformed bus crew!!!!). Since the station is big and confusing, the scammers will also come up to you while you buy your ticket at the ticket machine, be very careful and have an exact amount of money ready so they don't rob you. While I was buying a ticket, one man came up to me and helped me (beware, the scammers pretend to be friendly with tourists!), luckily, I had an exact amount of 3€ for two urban tickets so the scammer couldn't steal any change and he just showed me the way to the metro. The metros there will take you straight to Milano.

Don’t buy the 10 ticket package when traveling with your family. No warnings but it’s only for a single person.
Don’t trust the staff guidance! They advised me buy 10 separate tickets and request refund from the first 10-package… yeah, but the truth is that they don’t refund anything.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be aware of thief in the station. Even if you caught the person, the security guard will not help you out. They asked us to fill a police report instead of searching the accused's purse. They do have security cameras but they refuse to provide information about it. The group of thief work together and target tourist mainly and old people. Recently they were caught by the police but later freed since they are all pregnant. If you are traveling to Milano be careful with all your belongings. They are professionals and will find a way to cheat you. It's a terrible feeling as a tourist knowing you are a target there. If you are not interested in visiting the Duomo or it's not your priority in Italy. Avoid coming to Milan.
