★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful town with monuments breathtaking, not only worth a stop for a thorough examination, but staying for a few days you get into an atmosphere of times past. People, hospitable and friendly, not ignores the reception of the place. You eat well everywhere and affordable (especially the fish menu) very surprising as they are low compared to the abundance and the excellent quality of fish, crustaceans and shellfish are always fresh and delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another great place to visit. Good place for eating fish and city views. Enjoy coffee. Do something else and avoid the cappuccino. Italians do not drink it after 1500. Get an espressino. Take a wild side around the Basilica.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cathedral is one of the best places to see in the region. There is a lot of history, monuments to see. Unfortunately you can not take a guide inside. It’s located in lovely area, near the park and the port. The liturgy are normally about 10 pm. Inside is a little bit cold, but it’s normal like in this kind of buildings. You can go also to the underground.

It is an example of Apulian Romanesque architecture. Its construction is linked to the events of San Nicola Pellegrino, dating back to the era of Norman domination.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can pay 5€ to take the stairs up to the top of the Bell tower. The view from the top is pretty nice. The bells started ringing when we were 2 meters away from them, so be careful!
