D	Domenico Dattola on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quante volte vi sarà capitato di fronte a un castello fortificato medievale, imponente, maestoso e molto ben conservato di desiderare un viaggio indietro nel tempo,magari al medioevo …a me tanta bellezza stimola vibrazioni pari a un viaggio di storie di leggende e misteri. Misteriosa non è certo la sua ricca e affascinante storia, le origini risalgono alla fine del X secolo, e nel 1404 Ardengo Folperti, appartenente a una nobile famiglia pavese, fece erigere il ricetto come piazza d’arme, mentre il castello divenne la dimora signorile. La proprietà del castello e del feudo di Scaldasole passò attraverso varie famiglie nel corso dei secoli …Non è la prima volta per me a Scaldasole e ci ritornerò presto ..anche per scoprire meglio la leggenda di un fantasma che sembra si aggiri spesso tra l’ingresso e le mura esterne di questa fortezza. The ownership of the castle and of the fief of Scaldasole passed through various families over the centuries ... It is not the first time for me in Scaldasole and I will return soon .. also to better discover the legend of a ghost that often seems to wander around the entrance and the outer walls of this fortress.

Tra il 1334 e il 1404 passò alla famiglia Folperti che fece intraprendere dagli architetti Milanino de Saltariis, Bernardo e Martino de Soncino, la costruzione sul lato sud del castello originale, del ricetto, vasto cortile rettangolare fortificato in grado di raccogliere in caso di necessità l'intera popolazione del paese. Il castello si presenta con l'impianto tipico delle fortificazioni viscontee di pianura, con gli edifici che formano un cortile centrale rettangolare - con al centro un pozzo in laterizio - delimitato da torri angolari munite di merlatura esterna, di fossato e barbacane con un ponte levatoio all'ingresso. É presente un museo con alcuni oggetti antichi tra cui la rarissima Coppa Aristea, una della prime lavorazioni complesse in vetro. Pieno di ambienti differenti, dalla sala da ballo alla cappella santuaria, dal cortile alla sala del trono, dal fossato agli spalti, e tanto altro. Castello veramente stupendo, da visitare o anche solo ammirare dall’esterno Beautiful medieval castle with kind and friendly hosts. Here they do school trips, events, weddings and much more. Fu soggetto ad innumerevoli passaggi di proprietà: quel che si vede oggi è in gran parte lascito dei Malaspina, che nella seconda metà del Quattrocento lo abbellirono sia esternamente sia internamente. L'unicità del complesso, altrimenti tipicamente visconteo nel corpo di fabbrica quadrato, è rappresentata dal ricetto a sud del castello vero e proprio, uno dei pochi presenti in Lombardia. Il bel rivellino posto a oriente, con gli scassi dei bolzoni del ponte levatoio ancora perfettamente visibili, serve da ingresso ad entrambe le strutture.
