Le fonti parlano di un fortilizio risalente all'XI secolo, ma ad oggi sono visibili solo resti dell'impianto duecentesco che consisteva nel borgo e nella rocca fortificata.
Anche una torre faceva parte del castello, tuttavia distrutta nel 1936.
Il complesso non è sempre accessibile, per via di un pastore che si è installato all'interno dell'altopiano.
The ancient complex is located on a tufaceous hill between the highway exit and Via Casilina.
The sources speak of a fortress dating back to the eleventh century, but to date only remains of the thirteenth-century plant that consisted of the village and the fortified fortress are visible.
A tower was also part of the castle, however destroyed in 1936.
The complex is not always accessible, due to a shepherd who installed himself inside the plateau.
