Di fatto inespugnabile grazie alla sua posizione su una rocca a strapiombo su 3 lati, si raggiunge con un tranquillo sentiero che si inerpica attraverso il bosco del crinale accessibile. Consigliate scarpe da trekking e grande attenzione arrivati al castello: la visita è libera e non vi sono percorsi controllati. Il panorama è eccellente, la zona generalmente ventosa. On the Matese mountains, this stronghold built at the end of the 12th century by the Mandolfus lords from Germany is preserved. In fact impregnable thanks to its position on a cliff overhanging on 3 sides, it can be reached by a quiet path that climbs through the wood of the accessible ridge. Trekking shoes are recommended and great attention when arriving at the castle: the visit is free and there are no controlled routes. The view is excellent, the area generally windy.

La suggerisco in quanto il castello merita la visita e per i fotografi, paesaggi mozzafiato. Mi sono limitato a fotografare il sito dalla strada. Un po' in salita il sentiero per arrivarci ma tranquillo e adatto anche ai bambini. Remains of a Lombard castle from which looking out you can enjoy the whole panorama around. Si puó immaginare come un tempo questa struttura sovrastava tutta l'area adiacente dalla vista che si ammira una volta in cima. La scalata per raggiungerlo è alla portata di tutti. Dispiace solo che gran parte del castello è andato perso. The castle is easily accessible by car thanks to the excellent indications along the road once you arrive in the village. One can imagine how once this structure overlooked the entire adjacent area from the view that can be admired once at the top. The climb to reach it is within everyone's reach. Only regret that much of the castle has been lost.
