Costruito nel 1187 dal Comune di Vercelli a guardia dell'imboccatura della Valsesia, si può facilmente raggiungere a piedi lungo un sentiero adatto a tutti (con scarpe adatte) lasciando l'auto parcheggiata alla Torre delle Castelle. Parte della camminata è un po' più orribili da ma poi ci sono alcuni momenti dove la strada è quasi orizzontale e ci si riposa un po' Consiglio l'escursione. Suggestive place. Great for excursions.
