Il primo documento che cita la sua esistenza risale al 1489: è probabile che la costruzione sia stata iniziata nel 1454 per volere di Filippo Borromeo, per poi essere conclusa nel 1476. Tuttavia, la costruzione attuale è in gran parte una ricostruzione successiva al 1704, quando il feudo di Divignano passò nelle mani del conte Giulio Visconti Borromeo Arese. A partire dall'Ottocento ci furono quattro passaggi di proprietà prima che il maniero venisse rilevato dagli attuali proprietari. Oggi è sede di un negozio d'arredamento. Spicca per la sua posizione, dominante sull'abitato e panoramica rispetto alla catena delle Alpi.
It is a castle that has gone through many vicissitudes and changes of ownership. The first document that mentions its existence dates back to 1489: it is likely that the construction was started in 1454 at the behest of Philip Borromeo, only to be completed in 1476. However, the actual construction is largely a reconstruction after 1704, Divignano when the estate passed into the hands of Count Giulio Visconti Borromeo Arese. Starting from the nineteenth century there were four changes of ownership before the manor were detected by the current owners. Today it is home to a furniture store. It stands out for its position, dominant over the area and panoramic compared to the Alps.
