★ ★ ★ ★ ★ È un castello che merita di essere visitato, magari in occasione degli eventi speciali che dopo il Covid-19 ritorneranno ad esser organizzati, oppure per un soggiorno. La strada di accesso è stata recentemente asfaltata, comprese le regimentazioni laterali per le acque piovane. Peccato che manchino indicazioni precise e cartelli stradali nelle vicinanze del castello, rischiando sbagliare deviazioni, finendo su stradine sterrate e strette dove è difficoltoso invertire la marcia, ma dove comunque si è immersi nella natura, ammirando anche qualche rettile che attraversa i sentieri...
 It is a castle that deserves to be visited, perhaps on the occasion of special events that will return to be organized after Covid-19, or for a stay. The access road was recently paved, including the lateral regimentations for rainwater. Too bad there are no precise directions and road signs near the castle, risking making mistakes, ending up on dirt and narrow streets where it is difficult to reverse, but where you are immersed in nature, admiring even some reptiles crossing the paths ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Potentino is a special place with a unique charm. It is a medieval castle with beautiful rooms lavishly furnished with antiques where you can enjoy finest Italian wines while having intellectual conversations with the host at the long dining table. It is a place where I met like-minded people who care about the environment and prioritise living in harmony with their land. Cosy and warm, staying in Potentino feels more like visiting a family than being in a hotel. It is a must-visit place in Tuscany. And, if you have the chance to try "Charlotte's crazy kitchen", I strongly recommend you to do so!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Eccentric posh Brits in a slightly haunted but beautiful castle, complete with a vineyard and even their own Knights Templar Church.. What's not to love! Unforgettable stay.
But DON’T open the windows!! Bugs, really gross ones, will come in everywhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I enjoyed a week here with my boyfriend as the only guests in January (2016)! The owners made us right at home, fed us well, shared their cozy dogs & fireplace & delicious wine. They made special home remedies when the boyfriend took ill. Amazing castle, lovingly restored with some designer contemporary touches to offset the centuries old place. The view, the grounds, the bath tub, the local villages, again, the wine! The hosts make sure everything is provided for you and are at once hospitable yet unobtrusive & witty, too! Highly recommended to splurge on a stay at a castle! Do have them make dinner for you at least once!! We had roast boar, root vegetables & a chocolate pot de creme - all handmade! Thank you both!
