Costruito nel medioevo dalla famiglia Falletti ma rimaneggiato successivamente, si presenta come una fortificazione con cortile centrale e una torre cilindrica. Deve il suo nome ad una leggenda: si racconta che nel XIV secolo non furono trovati i corpi dei partecipanti a una festa dopo la caduta di un soffitto (volta), forse per opera del diavolo.
Particolarità: questo castello fu visitato spesso da Silvio Pellico invitato dall'ultima marchesa Falletti.
Oggi, proprietà privata, si presenta non in ottimo stato e si auspica che possa in futuro essere recuperato e visitabile.
Castello della Volta (or La Volta), at the Tenuta di la Volta, in the locality of Bussia, in the municipality of Barolo. Built in the Middle Ages by the Falletti family but subsequently remodeled, it looks like a fortification with a central courtyard and a cylindrical tower. It owes its name to a legend: it is said that in the fourteenth century the bodies of the participants in a party were not found after the fall of a ceiling (vault), perhaps by the devil.
Particularity: this castle was often visited by Silvio Pellico invited by the last Marquise Falletti.
Today, private property, it is not in excellent condition and it is hoped that it will be recovered and open to visitors in the future.
